Colonel A Sridharan, VSM a career army officer, served the Indian Army for nearly 30 years. He is also a Graduate of Defence Services Staff College and a member of the faculty of that prestigious institution at Wellington. During his tenure in the army he served in Military Operations Directorate at Army Headquarters, as General Staff Officer (Operations) in Ladakh and Military Assistant to the Chief of the Army Staff. Colonel was awarded Vishishst Seva Medal (VSM) by the President in 1992.

After retiring from the army in 1995, Col. Sridharan launched Covai Property Centre (India) Private Limited, and in 2004 ventured into creating retirement communities, setting benchmarks for service and care with passion and compassion. Since then, CovaiCare has been a pioneer in many areas of senior living and care, including assisted living, memory care and palliative care. It has India’s first platinum rated green community and is a pioneer in creating model that offers solutions for elders with challenged children (PwD).

Col. Sridharan is a member of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Coimbatore Zone, CREDAI and Co-Chair of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Coimbatore. He is a member of the Governing Council of GRG Institutions, Coimbatore. He contributes articles on variety of subjects to newspapers as well as on the Internet.
